Salam (Following on from previous forum)
Regarding the accusation that there is too much promotion of Pir Sahib on Noor tv(which has to be established) and increasing of fame, I say that if I felt Pir Sahib were seeking fame I would have a problem. However I believe Pir Sahib are sincere and humble and dont seek fame. I believe they sincerely feel for the Ummah and wish to use their position and resources to help the masses. For this reason I can over look this issue. It could be an issue in terms of the time that could be used on other programmes.
About the coverage of Pir Sahib on Noor tv. Lets look at it closer.
- The adverts for Al Ehya. These are justifiable. They shouldnt be taken into consideration in the category of 'Pir promotion'.
- The respect paid by presenters at the start of programmes in a few sentences. This again is reasonable and doesnt take up too much time.
- Dars e Mathnavi. This is a programme in its own right and Pir Sahib are teaching.
This shouldnt be included in the 'Pir promotion' category too.
- Birthday celebration programmes. These are sort of a one off events and can be over looked.
My point is maybe little bits and bats of Pir Sahib here and there on Noor tv may give the impression of Pir promoting. I dont say there isnt any promoting but are people exaggerating the amount?
Anyway, I was watching the 'Ulama and Mashaykh visit/mehfil at the college' programme the other afternoon. So many scholars were at the gathering and it occured to me that no scholar has criticised Noor tv but instead praised it. It occured to me that if any scholar did criticise, people (with respect) could turn around and ask what they have done for the Ummah or Ahle Sunna in UK?
Before Noor tv the other channels would call Ahle Sunnah beliefs/actions 'bida'h or shirk' and Noor tv has explained the justifications and proofs for many things we believe or practice. This is one good thing. Islam channel or Imam Qasim would get away with their views. Now Noor tv has given our side of the story. That is one benefit.
This isnt a criticism/challenge to others or anything like that. Sometimes an answer or what I believe to be a good answer (explanation) comes into my head and I express it on the forum.
Forgive me for any wrong.
Salam.
